An embroidered dalmatic collar Continental, probably Spanish, 16th/17th century Of crimson silk velvet and appliquéd yellow silk, worked in couched metal threads with a foliate strap work design, together with: a cap of silk, possibly Russian, circa 1800, of metal and chenille brocade, trimmed with silver-gilt lace; and three embroidered panels of Hungarian red work, with couched red cord on a linen ground, the largest centred with a floral wreath, the smaller panels densely worked with pomegranate and pine cone motifs, one affixed to card, all with labels for Dimitrios, New York the dalmatic collar: 63cm x 16cm (5)
