Specifications that matter

Size: listed in EU sizes, from about EU 36 to EU 46, with half sizes. EU 42 is the most common here.
Material: leather, suede, canvas or mixed fabric, and rubber soles on sneakers.
Condition: new/unused, very good (very light signs of wear) or good (visible signs of wear).
Packaging: titles state "new in box" or "new with tags" where it applies.

Sizing between brands

Sizing varies between makers. Italian brands often run slightly small; some sneaker models run large or narrow. Where a title gives UK or US sizes as well, the EU size in the specification is the one used for filtering. If you know your size in the same brand, use that.

Before you buy

On worn pairs, look at the soles, heel blocks and the creasing across the toe box in the photos. On new sneakers, check whether the original box and extra laces are mentioned. Shipping is free and each product page shows its ship-by date.

Frequently asked questions

How do EU shoe sizes convert to UK and US sizes?

As a rough guide for men, EU 42 is about UK 8 and US 9, EU 43 is about UK 9 and US 10, and EU 44 is about UK 9.5 to 10 and US 10.5 to 11. For women, EU 38 is about UK 5 and US 7.5. Conversions differ slightly between brands, so compare with a pair you already own from the same maker.

What does 'new in box' mean?

New in box means the shoes have never been worn and come with their original box. 'New with tags' means unworn with the original labels attached. Unworn shoes that have been stored for a while can show slight marks from handling or from the paper in the box, which do not affect wear. The condition notes and photos show any such details.

What is the difference between an Oxford and a Derby shoe?

The difference is the lacing. An Oxford has closed lacing: the eyelet panels are stitched under the front of the shoe, giving a sleek, formal look. A Derby has open lacing, with the eyelet panels sewn on top, which makes it easier to fit a high instep and gives a slightly more casual look. Both come in plain, cap-toe and brogue styles.

Can I return shoes that do not fit?
